e-waste is a growing problem for every nation in this world. In fact, more and more computers are being churned out to consumers, while the recycling process for unwanted computer parts are slow and sluggish – perhaps it’s not lucrative enough to recycle these wastes?
Nevertheless, researches at the University of New York has found a way to recycle discarded LCD monitors, whereby these e-waste can be converted into materials that can be used to fight infections. Generally, the procedure involves extraction a key component from LCD screens, and converting the material into an anti-bacterial solution, that can be used to kill germs and bacteria.
Personally, I believe that such research might be somewhat promising, but I think that it’s still not lucrative enough to recycle these e-waste products, don’t you think so?
