It seems that Sony made a major move, whereby they have ditched the PS2 backward compatibility feature in their latest gaming console. Of course, for those who are thinking of purchasing the latest slim version of the PS3, do take note that you can’t use your gaming console to play PS2 games.
Apparently, Sony director of hardware marketing John Koller mentioned that people who buy the PS3 machine, isn’t buying the machine for the backward compatibility features, but rather to enjoy the latest game titles for the PS3.
So if you love PS2 games, you can forget buying the PS3 instead – wouldn’t that be 100% PS2 compatible?
