 LED is here to stay and in this case, Dell is going to convert all their displays to LED types in the near future, as soon as late 2009. Dell claimed that 2/3 of their Latitude E series will be equipped with mercury free LED backlightings and by the end of 2009, 80% of their laptops will have LED backlit.
Dell spokes man said that the company is very committed to their goal in transitioning its desktops displays to LED as well.
