 My fingers are crossed – let’s hope that the all new Windows 7 which is set to be launched next year wouldn’t contain so many bugs as it did in previous Microsoft Windows solutions.
Well one thing for sure, there’s something new for office – there is this new web applications built for it. Applications on the other hand are lightweight version of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote which you can use within your web browsers.
I’m still wondering whether they would include ‘Instant-On’ function on the OS.

 I’m a true NEC fan – at least I think that their hardware has very good quality when compared to other brands like Samsung. Well, NEC has already launched their 19 and 24 inch display earlier, but they have also pushed out a new 22 inch P221W display model out into the market.
It comes with 1,680 x 1,050 native resolution, S-PVA LCD technology, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 16-millisecond response time and many more goodies.
However, it’s pretty pricey though – it would be retailing at $636.90.

 Microprocessor manufacturer ARM has made an announcement that they would be producing processors specifically for netbooks. Of course, their processors would be expected to be widely used in smartphones, netbooks and various mobile devices.
On the other hand, Samsung, Panasonic, NEC, and Toshiba already have licenses to use their processors on their products. Let’s just hope that they will produce their own versions of netbooks for the basic PC market.

 Yes the MSI Wind is overclockable – that is if you have updated your BIOS to version 1.09. This would give you access to Turbo Drive Engine technology which gives you a minor boost of 8%, 15%, 24% and to some extent, it might even give you a 30% juice boost.
I’m was thinking – what’s the point of overclocking a netbook? Isn’t it more economical purchasing a new dual core, triple core or even a quad core processor notebook? Wouldn’t that be much better as compared to the basic netbook?
Oh well, I guess it still gives the thrill of being able to overclock something – at least.

 Dell is stupid. They have in fact taken a move to rebrand their netbook namely the Inspiron Mini 9 to become the new Vostro A90. What’s even more upsetting is the fact that they have even increased the price tremendously!
Originally meant to function as a basic PC and not to mention cheap, they have re-priced this pricey little netbook to a very high price of $972.
Anyone still ‘worships’ the Mini 9?
