vdsI love Zenni Optical. In fact, if you follow closely on their news, Zenni Optical was on FOX news! You can watch their news video via this link at Zenni on Fox.

I just love Zenni Optical’s business model whereby they strive to bring cost down in delivering quality spectacle frames to consumers like me and you. If you browse their Great Eyeglasses For Less, can you imagine that you can purchase a pure titanium frame for something less than $40 and there are other even more affordable frames which is available for $8. HP Mini 700
Thursday, 30 October 2008
Not another Mini? HP has launched another variant for their Mini – the HP Mini 700. It would be available in UK this December for a retail price of £299 and comes packed with the following specifications:

10.2-inch display (1,024 x 600 (16:10 aspect ratio)
1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU
8GB or 16GB or SSD storage
Bluetooth, wireless
Surprisingly thin 25.55mm chassis

It’s actually £100 cheaper when compared to the Mini 1000 and best of all, it would be available sooner in UK as in December rather than waiting till February 2009 for the Mini 1000.

PSP Modded To Use SNES Controller
Thursday, 30 October 2008
adfI caught a glimpse of a PSP modded to use SNES controller instead of its own built in controller – I’m just wondering why would anyone waste time to built such a mod particularly when it comes to a SNES controller which is prone to defects – I know because I did spent countless of hours playing SNES and the controller sucks.

Furthermore, the four movement buttons can only move up, down, left and right which makes Street Fighter hard to play.

Bottomline – this mod sucks…

Background Checks
Thursday, 30 October 2008
I worry for the safety of our kids living in our present society. If you are a frequent news watcher, be it on TV, radio or even on the newspaper, you’d notice that there are simply so many crimes committed at an unimaginable rate in our society. Most victims say that they did not receive any warning prior to the crime – well, if there is a way which you can use to do Background Checks on suspected criminals, wouldn’t that be great?

srgAt SentryLink.com, you can in fact use their Criminal Background Checks services at your advantage. Just enter the suspected criminal’s personal details such as first name, last name, other last name or maiden name, date of birth and social security number and the system would intelligently search their huge database for any offences committed by that person. Do take note that they will charge $19.95 each time you use their services.

Also, there are other services available on SentryLink.com – such as driving records, credit reports and property search. Furthermore, their criminal data contain over 200 million records – I’m pretty sure that it would be comprehensive and accurate.

For more information on how you can do Criminal Checks and help keep your society safe, visit SentryLink.com.

Sanyo Digiframe
Tuesday, 28 October 2008
A couple of weeks back, we reviewed Sony’s VAIO CP1 digital frame but found out later that with the price that you are paying – it’s simply not worth it.
srf

If you are looking for an alternative, Sanyo has released their HNV-M70 ALBO WiFi Digiframe solution whereby for a mere $423 you can get the following specs:

7-inch LCD (800 x 480 resolutions)
802.11b/g WiFi
256MB of internal memory
WinCE 5.0
RSS / e-mail reader
An IR sensor
Automatic screen rotation
Multicard reader and a multimedia player

256MB of internal memory sounds pretty crappy don’t you think?

Anyone for a Digiframe?

PSP Bundle-Dwindles
Tuesday, 28 October 2008
sdfYeap for the price of $169 you can still buy the PSP-3000 but with only one game bundle – the Ratchet & Clank Entertainment Pack. Well to be honest, the PSP-3000 is revolutionary, and I think that they should have include more ‘bundles’ if you get what I mean. Personally, I think that Ratchet & Clank and it’s a kid’s game rather than for mature gamers out there.

Well at least there is the ‘modded’ version of PSP-3000 – and I hope that it would be coming soon… though…

US Laptop Sales Exceeds Desktops
Tuesday, 28 October 2008
srgIt’s official – IDC has unveiled that laptop sales in the US have exceeded 50% threshold for the first time in history. However, this makes me wonder – with so many laptop sales in the US, how in the world could the US economy be suffering from recession?

I believe that it’s just the media that has painted a bleak future for their own country. Shame on you media – shame on you for destroying your own economy.

For example, I enjoy reading the article on how to improve credit – it’s important to maintain your credit score as this figure is used by financial institutions to determine whether you are eligible to take up a loan from their financial institution.
